Taste of Uptown Event Overview

We are proud to announce the first annual Taste of Uptown benefiting the Lee Park Junior Conservancy and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This exhilarating community event will take place on October 24th, 2008, with a focus on beverage and food tastings.  The Taste of Uptown is a visit to the Marketplace, featuring musicians, fine art, and a variety of entertainers amidst a showcase of Uptown's most popular restaurants.

Entrance to the Tasting begins at 6:00 p.m.
Registration begins at 5:00 p.m.
Beverage tasting, food tasting and entertainment are continuous.

General admission will allow you one (1) wristband, which includes access to Lee Park for the evening, live entertainment, access to vendor booths, games and other activities.

VIP Ticket price:
$150—VIP Admission Ticket
$200—2 VIP Admission Ticket

VIP admission will allow you one (1) wristband, admission to all of the above, as well as access to the Arlington Hall facilities and VIP booths and activities located within the Hall.

*Participants must be 21 or older and present valid ID to obtain a wristband. TABC laws will be strictly enforced.

Other benefits to buying early include saving money since you receive free tickets in nearly every ticket package - at the door there will be no savings. Tickets will not be mailed to you, but will be waiting for you at "Will Call" (aka: registration) at the event.

Registration starts at 5pm. Please have a valid ID available, or you will not receive a wristband for alcoholic beverages. We will also be hosting Happy Hours where tickets can be picked up before the event. These will be announced on our Facebook page, as well as this website, so keep checking back for dates!

Because of risks to people with cystic fibrosis (CF), individuals with confirmed positive sputum culture for Burkholderia cepacia complex shall not attend this event. This is because B. cepacia can be passed between individuals who have CF through close proximity. B. cepacia infection in a person with CF can cause serious respiratory illness and, in some patients, may lead to death. Despite this policy, there might still be some individuals with B. cepacia in attendance. B. cepacia is not a risk for otherwise healthy individuals.
